This summer, Texas Corn Producers is excited to welcome two new interns to assist its team’s efforts for the state’s corn checkoff and association.

Emily Glaze

Emily graduated from El Campo High School, where she actively participated in her FFA and 4-H chapters. She is currently pursuing dual bachelor’s degrees in agriculture, applied economics, and general business at Texas Tech University. Beyond her studies, she’s a part of the university’s Collegiate Farm Bureau, Cattlemen’s Association, and Block and Bridle organizations. Emily aspires to build a career serving farmers and ranchers, utilizing her economics background to advocate for their interests.

Zoë Meeks

Zoë is currently pursuing a degree in agricultural economics at Texas A&M University. Raised in the Texas High Plains, she is graduated from Dalhart High School where she was active in both 4-H and FFA. As a college student, Zoë has completed a policy internship with the National Cotton Council of America and is actively involved in multiple campus organizations, including the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council and the Council for Agriculture, Research, Extension, and Teaching (CARET). Professionally, she plans to pursue a career in agricultural policy and law to drive meaningful change and support the future of the agricultural industry.

Both Emily and Zoë are administrative interns for the organization. In this role, they support staff with membership engagement and database management, as well as agricultural policy initiatives that provide insight into the state and federal legislative processes. They also handle communications and outreach to board members and Texas corn farmers, and coordinate industry and producer events.

TCP values agriculture students and the future of the agriculture industry in Texas. TCP internships are one of several ways the organization provides real-world experiences and unmatched learning experiences.
